Theraputic Touch program

Basic Therapeutic Touch Program - Fall

October 6-8, 2017 Friday dinner through Sunday 3pm (additional day optional)

"Therapeutic Touch is a holistic, evidence based therapy that incorporates the intentional and compassionate use of universal energy to promote balance and well being." Therapeutic Touch International Inc. (TTIA)

Although taught and practiced all over the world, taking a course in Therapeutic Touch at Pumpkin Hollow, the birthplace of Therapeutic Touch, is unique. It is within this pristine natural setting that Dora Kunz and Dr. Dolores Krieger, PhD, RN first created the Therapeutic Touch Process, developed from their studies of the ancient practice of 'laying on of hands.'

Based on the assumption that human beings are complex fields of energy, Dora and Dr. Krieger saw that the ability to enhance healing in others is a natural human potential and one that could be taught to anyone who has a desire to help and promote healing in others or themselves. Therapeutic Touch is used to balance ane promote the flow of human energy. Although first taught extensively to nurses, the Therapeutic Touch course is open to laypeoples and health professionals alike.

All Therapeutic Touch Programs at Pumpkin Hollow are taught by QTTT's (Qualified Therapeutic Touch Teachers) and follow the Krieger-Kunz method and TTIA guidelines.

BASIC THERAPEUTIC TOUCH PROGRAM

At the completion of this 12-14 hour course, the participant will have learned the basic concepts, history and technique of Therapeutic Touch. In addition to lectures and demonstrations liberally sprinkled with examples, each participant will have an oppportunity to learn and use each phase of the process. By the end of the course the participant will be able to do a full Therapeutic Touch treatment. Research has shown that TT is effective in reduction of pain and anxiety, promotion of a relaxation response, facilitation of the body's natural retorative process (enhancing the immune system and promoting wound healing). Completion of this course taught by a QTTT qualifies the participant to be able to take the Intermediate Therapeutic Touch Program and fulfills one of the requirements to become a Qualified Therapuetic Touch Practitioner (QTTP).

Stay for an additional day! Special Rate: $80 (includes overnight and 3 meals). Give yourself a 'gift of renewal' in the nurturing environment of Pumpkin Hollow. Enjoy self-healing, self-exploration and integration of the TT experience. We all need to break the momentum of our busy lives; this is your opportunity to create balance and deeply relax.

Prerequisite: There are no prerequisites for this program. Open to everyone.
